Liverpool and Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been drawn together to discuss the latest piece of gossip filtering it about their club’s January plans.
TalkSport state the Premier League duo will do battle against one another for the signature of Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar, who is said to be keen on a move to England.
The 22-year-old, who made his Fiorentina debut aged just 16, has spent the past few years out on-loan to gain experience and that decision seems to have paid off, with Babacar netting five goals in nine matches to help La Viola top the Serie A.
Senegalese forward Babacar is now seen as an ideal recruit for Liverpool and Spurs, who both have concerns regarding their forward roles ahead of a push to reach the top-four come May.
Liverpool have seen Danny Ings ruled out until the end of the season whilst Daniel Sturridge and Christian Benteke have both struggled to find fitness, whilst Divock Origi is yet to convince our Reds supporters that he can offer what they need.
Meanwhile in North London, Mauricio Pochettino’s talented side seem one recruit away from becoming a top-class outfit; with the goals currently being reliant on Harry Kane, something that must be eased.
Which club would Babacar be better joining? Let us know in the comments below!
