Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are excitedly discussing the latest transfer rumour concerning their club and manager Jurgen Klopp, who seems set for some major signings in 2016.
Spanish outlet Sport claim Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegan is being targeted by Jurgen Klopp, amid speculation he is unsettled in Catalonia.
Ter Stegan has starred in Spain, winning the Champions League in his first season, but has had to share first-team duties with Claudio Bravo; who is the favoured choice in La Liga, leaving his German colleague with cup responsibilities.
At Liverpool Ter Stegan would likely feature in all competitions and would have a defence built around him, although there could be difficulties as the Barcelona man has a whopping release-clause of £56.7m in his contract.
The Spanish giants won’t want to sell, perceiving Ter Stegan as the ideal first-choice goalkeeper moving forward, but Luis Enrique may have to reassess his squad plans beyond next summer if they are to keep the future German number 1 content.
