Liverpool are gearing up for a huge Europa League tie against Besitkas but their fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are more worried about Demba Ba and luckily the Daily Express has some news on that front.
The publication seems to think that Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers does not think that facing the player who destroyed their title dreams last term will be an issue – although as one of our punters notes, we think that saying those words is one thing, actually believing them is another.
Rodgers made it clear that while he rates Ba as a forward, there will be no bad memories when the two face off again this Thursday, noting: ‘It won’t stimulate any bad memories for me. We see him as a threat and will pay him respect but nothing more than that.’
