Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern will be getting excited with their recruitment this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to be making changes to his squad.
The Reds have already been busy during the transfer window having already completed deals for Fabinho and Naby Keita and have been linked with numerous targets as well, with reports suggesting another deal could be completed in the next 24 hours.
Klopp has highlighted his need for a couple of creative players to help strengthen his squad and compete across all competitions, and Shaqiri appears to be the closest to joining, as he has a £12million release clause from Stoke City, although Fekir has revealed that he wants to join the Reds this summer as well.
With Fabinho and Naby Keita already through the door, the Independent claim the Reds could be about to add another within 24 hours, much to the delight of our resident Reds.
Landlord’s Verdict
The Liverpool fans in the Tavern will be surprised that the club have been linked with the Switzerland international, although would be happy to see him arrive at Anfield this summer. The 26-year-old is relatively cheap and would be considered as a low-risk signing as he knows the Premier League well.
Having already played for Bayern Munich and Inter Milan during his career, Shaqiri has plenty of experience and could prove to be a crucial signing this summer as Klopp looks to chase silverware this season.
