Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been left sweating by their club’s struggles in recent weeks and they’re expected widespread transfer activity around Anfield this summer.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has a major challenge on his hands to build a side capable of challenging for the major honours in Premier League football and players may have to leave to allow room for the German to seal his own targets.
One man attracting interest is young midfielder Kevin Stewart, as The Telegraph state he’s become a target for newly-promoted Brighton & Hove Albion – who are seeking recruits to help them secure their top-flight status for the long-term.
Stewart, who recently penned a new deal at Anfield, is also attracting attention from a wealth of Championship sides and Liverpool have slapped a £10m price-tag on the head of the youngster.
Klopp has no intention to allow Stewart, who is currently injured, to leave but will consider a deal for the midfielder if a significant bid is placed, or if the player himself makes it clear he wants to leave and seek a new challenge.
Our landlord believes Stewart won’t be at Anfield at the start of next season but expects any deal to initially start with a loan.
