Liverpool eye shock move for Serie A sensation ahead of summer window

The Daily Mail are the talk of the Football Transfer Tavern after they claimed that Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers was preparing to go all out to sign Italian legend Andrea Pirlo this summer.

Now as one of our punters quips, that would be some move even though Pirlo is obviously far past his best, and we think that his head could well be turned by one final swansong and a move to one of the biggest clubs in English football – and a chance to see what he can do in the Premier League.

Pirlo is without a doubt one of the classiest players to grace the modern game and we think it would be amazing to see him in England, even with him being at the end of his career.
