As our regulars know here in the Football Transfer Tavern, there have been a fair few Liverpool fans who have not exactly taken Steven Gerrard’s Liverpool departure well.
Whilst we thought that giving the fans a five-month swansong and the possibility of a loan deal after that was pretty good for modern football, it seems that some fans are taking things a little bit harder than we might have thought.
As our punters note over by the pool table, we seriously hope Gerrard does not do a Frank Lampard and joins one of their rivals for ‘fitness’ reasons, plus that all elusive Premier League title, otherwise God only knows how she might react!
