Loads of Liverpool fans agreed with Jamie Carragher following his comments about where the current squad would be best strengthened.
This followed the Reds’ 1-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last-16 first leg at the Wanda Metropolitano. Saul Niguez scored the only goal of the game after just four minutes to give the hosts the early initiative, with the visitors failing to get a shot on target.
Liverpool’s former No. 23 told Viasport Fotbal that Tuesday’s defeat in Madrid represented the big problem for the Merseyside when one of the front three are not playing, adding that Divock Origi is not a good enough option to bring from the bench, despite what he did during last season’s Champions League final. With this in mind, supporters resoundingly agreed with the club legend and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan agreed while adding that Mohamed Salah has been frustrating to watch of late.
