Liverpool: Fans applaud injury update regarding Diogo Jota

Many Liverpool fans were pleased with the update regarding forward Diogo Jota’s pursuit back to full fitness.

The Athletic‘s James Pearce revealed that the 24-year-old is making “good progress” in his recovery after picking up a knee injury during his side’s 1-1 draw against FC Midtjylland in the Champions League, adding that he could return before the end of the month.

This means that the Portugal international could be back in time for the Reds’ trip to Tottenham on 27th or West Ham United on the 30th, with a potential FA Cup fourth-round tie before that (via This is Anfield).

Jota has had a sensational start to life at Anfield since his £41m move from Wolves in the summer, scoring nine goals from 17 appearances in all competitions (TransferMarkt).
