Loads of Liverpool fans have agreed with the words of former Everton boss Sam Allardyce after he suggested that Virgil van Dijk was the Reds’ most important player.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are looking to maintain their unbeaten run on Saturday as they face the Premier League’s bottom club Norwich City at Carrow Road. They will also seek to further extend their 22-point lead at the top of the Premier League ahead of Manchester City, who play West Ham next Wednesday.
Sam Allardyce: “Van Dijk [is Liverpool’s most important player], he’s number one.
“Then, Salah, Mane and Firmino. In that order, for me. And then Henderson.”
Agree? 🤔

Allardyce told talkSPORT that he values the Dutch talisman at the top of the list, with Mohamed Salah in second and followed by Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Jordan Henderson. Goalkeeper Alisson Becker was not included but the former Bolton boss added the Brazilan is “better than what they had previously”. The Holland international has been lauded since his £75m move from Southampton in January 2018, picking up the PFA Player of the Year award and winning the Champions League in Madrid.
As a result, these Reds supporters agreed with Allardyce’s remarks and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he was “spot on”, and added that Liverpool have a “totally balanced squad”, while another also agreed by stating that the Reds would not be as successful as they have been without Van Dijk.

Yep. I totally agree with this. We can do well without Henderson.

The hardest to replace is the most important. It’s Van Dijk also I know about 10+ midfielders that can replace Henderson with higher quality

Spot on. That’s what it means to have a totally balanced squad

Have to agree. If we hadn’t signed VVD we wouldn’t be champions of Europe and soon to be champions of England.
The man’s different class.

Spot on for most part. Ali ahead of Hendo the way i see it, but looking at the table, you’d have to say there are many who has been very good this season.
