Liverpool spent big over the summer, and it has paid off handsomely. The Reds look better than they have in years, with Jurgen Klopp’s men finally finding the consistency that they’ve lacked over the last few seasons. They haven’t really put a foot wrong over the last 6 months or so as a collective, and that bodes well for the rest of the season.
A tough test against Tottenham stands in their way this weekend, though, with Liverpool set to take on Mauricio Pochettino’s men at lunchtime on Saturday.
Fortunately, ahead of the game, Liverpool have received a boost in the form of a blow for Tottenham. Ahead of the game, it has been confirmed that both Hugo Lloris and Dele Alli have been ruled out of the game with injuries.
TEAM NEWS:
@dele_official (hamstring) unavailable this weekend.
Hugo Lloris (thigh) unavailable and expected to be out for several weeks.
@JuanMFoyth (thigh) returned to training last week.

This is a huge blow for Spurs, given that both Dele and Lloris have been crucial for Spurs this season and beyond. They’ve been regulars over the course of the campaign, and both represent crucial players in their respective positions.
For Liverpool, then, it’s a big boost. Though it’s never nice to see anyone get injured, the game will undeniably be easier given their absence. This is what the Liverpool fans online have been talking about, with many fans pleased with the news. They’re hoping for a win on Saturday.
Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…

Good. Diver Allie really screwed the Reds in the last game. Glad to see he wont be out there this time.

Tottenham are a pretty good team with good backup. Not having Alli and Lloris for Saturday's game is not a big boost. However, we have to take an advantage of that. Hopefully we do justice and keep the winning streak going on. #LFC
