As with many teams in January, Liverpool could look to get themselves involved within the transfer market this winter.
Jurgen Klopp managed to address a couple of key areas in the summer and last winter with the additions of the likes of Virgil van Djik, Alisson Becker, Naby Keita, Xherdan Shaqiri and Fabinho.
However, there are some concerns that the Anfield outfit do not have a player in the middle of the pitch that offers them that much creativity going forward at the moment.
The German should look to bring a new face in to help them improve on last year’s campaign and keep pace with Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.
One man that has been linked with a move recently is Houssem Aouar, with it being understood that Liverpool are taking a careful look at the Olympique de Lyonnais midfielder.
Fans reacted on social media to the news about the 20-year-old and all appeared to be in favour of trying to bring him to Anfield in the near future.
And, you would have to feel that they are absolutely right in their opinions that he would benefit them greatly in the second half of the season.
The France Under-21 international has been in stunning form for the Ligue One side so far, having netted five times in his 13 appearances, providing one assist.
His stock has certainly risen in the last couple of seasons as well, as he has shown that he has the vision to create as well as possessing the technical ability that would be welcomed in the already strong midfield at Anfield.
However, Liverpool will likely need to act quickly if they want to land Aouar, as he has been linked with the likes of Chelsea recently as well.
