Loads of Liverpool fans reacted to reports that the club have already organised the date of lifting the Premier League trophy and when the parade would take place.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are on course to secure the club’s first league title in 30 years as they sit 16 points clear at the top of the Premier League table ahead of Manchester City. If the Reds win their next nine games, the title could be clinched as early as April, as per the Express. The Athletic revealed that talks are already well underway over a celebratory parade, with Monday 18th May chalked as the date.
Liverpool will not receive the elusive trophy until the penultimate game of the season, which will be their final home game against Chelsea on May 9th. If both the Reds and the Citizens continue to win their games, the title could be decided at the Etihad Stadium on April 4th. Despite this, supporters believed it was far too early to realise this information and made their feelings clear on social media.
