One of Liverpool’s longest serving senior players could be seeing his Anfield career come to an end this summer for just £15million.
According to James Pearce (via @AnfieldEdition), Liverpool’s asking price for the Croatian defender is £15million as they look to offload him.
The 30-year-old has been with the club since 2014 after joining from Southampton in a £20million move under Brendan Rodgers (via BBC Sport). Lovren has made a total of 184 appearances for Liverpool and has accumulated 26 yellow cards in that time (via Transfermarkt).
His market value is currently the highest it has ever been – joint with his value following his move to Anfield. Over the seasons with Liverpool, his value plummeted to £11.7million before eventually picking back up and settling at £18million (also Transfermarkt) — so around what the Reds are said to be demanding.
For many fans, Lovren has overstayed his welcome with the Merseyside outfit and the time has come for him to move on. One fan has said the club ‘couldn’t give him away’ while others have stated Liverpool need to ‘just sell him’ and they will ‘drive him wherever’.
Couldn’t give him away tbh

I’ll drive him where ever, as long as we do manage to actually get rid of him
