Liverpool: Fans believe team-talk for second leg is done after latest footage of Atletico Madrid players

Loads of Liverpool fans have been reacting to footage of Atletico Madrid players in training, the day after their 1-0 win against the Merseyside club in the Champions League.

Diego Simeone’s side outwitted Jurgen Klopp at the Wanda Metropolitano as the red half of the Spanish capital took the early initiative in the last-16 clash. Saul Niguez scored the only goal after just four minutes as the Reds played a game based on frustration for the entirety of the evening. Left-back Andy Robertson was quick to question the Spanish side’s decision to celebrate like ‘they’d already won the tie‘ in what was a defiant post-match interview.

El Chiringuito TV posted the footage on Twitter (via @elchiringuitotv) as many Atleti players could be seen waving towels above their hands and clapping their hands with joy as they trained on the bicycles in the club’s gym. Supporters were quick to remind them of what happened to Barcelona last season and mocked them on social media. One fan said that an “Anfield masterclass” was incoming as a result of the video.
