Liverpool look to be strolling towards their first ever Premier League title and if Jurgen Klopp can manage his squad rotation through the busy winter period, they could even secure the trophy in April. One man who could play a part is Adam Lallana, who started against Wolves on Sunday in place of Naby Keita, but his inclusion split opinion.
The 31-year-old had made just eight appearances before Sunday’s game, contributing just one goal in that time. However, Liverpool’s four draws in five games across last January and February gave Manchester City the chance to close the gap on the Reds, so Klopp will be aware he needs to rotate the squad well to avoid that happening again.
Liverpool’s official Twitter account posted the line-up before the game and fans were split on whether it was right to start Lallana against a side that have beaten Man City at home and away so far this season. Many replied to give their opinion on the news he was in the starting 11.
