Loads of Liverpool fans have been comparing midfielders Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita following their side’s 3-2 victory against West Ham on Monday.
The 26-year-old replaced the Reds’ £48m signing midway through the second half as the hosts were chasing the game at Anfield. Jurgen Klopp’s side were 2-1 down in the second half but came back to win 3-2 thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane. Furthermore, this moved Liverpool closer to their first Premier League title in their history and their first domestic crown for 30 years.
The German tactician acknowledged the guidance that the Englishman made following his introduction into the game, who provided the much-needed drive required from the centre of the park. He had one shot on goal and made one successful dribble in the 33 minutes he was on the pitch, which was just as much as Keita did in double the time, as per Sofascore. With this in mind, these Reds supporters believed that Oxlade-Chamberlain – who cost £35m himself – has won his place in the side, saying he ‘adds a different type of spice’.

Ox is better in a midfield 3 than he is in the front 3. He should start over Keita. I like Keita and ultimately believe after a run of games he will be good but Ox is class. Changed the game tonight.
