Liverpool midfielder Fabinho was his team’s standout performer in their 0-2 defeat to Napoli last night in the eyes of some observers, with James Nalton of This Is Anfield giving him Man of the Match and saying that he was “everywhere all of the time“.
Liverpool fan @MikeMongie on Twitter also rated the Brazil international highly, tweeting that he is a better player for the club than former Reds defensive midfielder Javier Mascherano had been.

Fabinho won six tackles against Napoli last night, the most of anyone on the pitch, and recorded the second highest passing success rate of the players who started the match (with 95.4%). [via WhoScored.com]

Mascherano made 139 appearances for the Reds between 2007 and 2010 and, after winning the Champions League for Barcelona against Manchester United in 2011, he dedicated the victory to Liverpool supporters. [via liverpoolfc.tv]
