Plenty of Liverpool fans were unhappy with the defending from their side despite the win at Selhurst Park, with Trent Alexander-Arnold coming in for particular criticism.
The Reds responded to a setback once again on Saturday afternoon, retaliating almost immediately to Wilfried Zaha’s equalising goal.
Roberto Firmino stabbed home at the other end to win the day for Jurgen Klopp’s side, after Sadio Mane had opened the scoring shortly after half-time.
Despite leaving a difficult away day with three points though, lots of fans are slamming the performance of Alexander-Arnold, who was certainly not at his best.
Zaha is a difficult match-up for any full-back, but the England international struggled in the build-up to the equalising goal, and gave the ball away a whopping 28 times, per Sofascore, the most of any player in the match.
The 21 year-old did manage four key passes and five successful crosses, per Sofascore, but his defensive deficiencies have been slammed by fans, as you can see in the Twitter reactions down below…

Think that may have been Trent’s worse performance today, nothing was coming off for him, we all have off days.

Robertson and Trent were absolutely cataclysmic in that goal uno. Trent giving it away first, Robbo losing his head while defending…
