After his goal against Bournemouth on the weekend, Mohamed Salah became the first Liverpool player since Michael Owen to score 20+ in three consecutive seasons (via Metro). Fans are loving this newest stat from the Egyptian, with one supporter boasting that Luis Suarez and Fernando Torres didn’t manage the same record.
It’s an ongoing debate amongst Liverpool fans on whether Mohamed Salah is more clinical than prime Fernando Torres or Luis Suarez. This new statistic suggests that on paper, the winger is indeed better in front of goal than the ex-Liverpool strikers, but it’s a take that has plenty of supporters divided.
Despite breaking the hearts of the Kopites after his move to Chelsea, Torres scored a magnificent 81 goals in 142 appearances across all competitions for Liverpool. Suarez just topped his tally, netting 82 goals in 133 appearances (via Transfermarkt).

We all love salah, but suarez was the best striker i have ever seen, and still is one of the best ever

To be fair, Suarez and Torres were still phenomenal. Suarez in this team would easily do what Salah has, and Torres at peak could manage it too. It’s more to do with team performance at the moment. None of the front three could cope without the others
