Liverpool’s replay against Shrewsbury will be the last thing Jurgen Klopp wanted considering the amount of games they’ll have to play this season if they do well in the Champions League. They’ve already played 38 games so far this term, but fans can’t agree on how the club should approach the game.
It was confirmed in Jurgen Klopp’s interview with LFCTV that he won’t be the manager for the game, and it will instead be Neil Critchley. He also said that no senior players will take part in the game, so it’s looking very similar to the situation when Klopp and the senior team played in the Club World Cup rather than the Carabao Cup.
This, of course, will be a massive boost for Shrewsbury and clearly suggests that Klopp isn’t too bothered whether he wins the FA Cup or not and that’s split the fanbase by the looks of Twitter. The Athletic’s Liverpool writer James Pearce tweeted the news and fans couldn’t agree in the replies.
Jurgen Klopp says that no senior players will be involved in the FA Cup fourth round replay and he won’t manage the team. Neil Critchley will be in charge #LFC

Some fans were disappointed by the decision:
@akascottsmith @ShabbaGH I wouldn’t mind winning the cup to be honest. This seems like a massive shame.

Disrespectful

Seriously? Shocking. Pretty sure the FA would take disciplinary action.

While others were backing their manager:
That’s a message to the FA for the pointless replays.

Absolutely fine with this as long as the FA dont turn around and say “fine then we dock you 10 points” which knowing them they will

Liverpool fans, what would your starting line-up be for the replay?
