Liverpool appear to be caught up in another rollercoaster of emotions regarding the summer transfer window.
The Reds lost out on signing heavily-linked Timo Werner last month and now old wounds may have been reopened as a new update on Thiago Alcantara has emerged.

According to David Lynch, Liverpool are distancing themselves from the Bayern Munich midfielder, despite talks of a move being on the cards. The 29-year-old has reportedly agreed terms with the Merseyside outfit and a fee is being decided between them and the Bundesliga champions (according to Sport, via Metro).
Liverpool fans have been eager to see Thiago join the Anfield ranks but have now had their hopes shot down. Many supporters have responded to Lynch’s update (relayed via @AnfieldEdition) to air their frustrations. One fan has said ‘this ain’t good’, whilst another has accused the Evening Standard reporter of ‘ruining our summer’. It’s clear Kopites want to see a fruitful transfer window after such a successful season.
