Now that Liverpool have confirmed their Premier League title, focus has shifted to whether they can smash Manchester City’s 100-point record.
Speaking to the media following their celebrations on Thursday, Jurgen Klopp has commented on whether achieving a centurion season is a possibility.
“Sounds nice to me but not sure whether it’s possible playing every three days as we will have to make a lot of chances. We need to be lucky with injuries,” (via James Pearce).

The Reds have struggled this campaign with injuries throughout the squad. Alisson, Andy Robertson and Mohamed Salah are just a few who have been sidelined, as well as Naby Keita who has had awful luck with injury. The Guinean has missed a total of 16 games this season (via Transfermarkt).
The most recent injury news which saw Joel Matip and James Milner forced off the pitch against Everton leaves Liverpool a little thin in some areas.

Fans have responded to Klopp’s comments, but many don’t seem bothered about hitting 100 points. One supporter has said they ‘don’t actually care’ about the record as long as other members of the team get their chance for the remaining games.
