Liverpool: Fans drool over ‘monumental’ Opta stat

Loads of Liverpool fans have been reacting to Opta‘s latest statistic which unveiled that the Reds have broken yet another record during the 2019/20 campaign.

Jurgen Klopp’s side finished Saturday 16 points clear at the top of the standings following their 1-0 victory against Tottenham, ahead of Leicester City, who lost 2-1 at home to Southampton just hours before.

As the cherry on top of the Merseysiders’ cake, Opta revealed that Liverpool have racked a staggering 104 points in their last 38 Premier League games, which saw them surpass Manchester City in 2018 and Chelsea in 2005 with 102 points respectively.

Despite this, Klopp was not getting ahead of himself and said that his team’s latest accolade was “nothing special” and they will only react to trophies at the end of the season.

The Reds have now scored 50 goals this season and conceded just 14, while keeping six clean sheets on the bounce in all competitions, as per Fotmob.
