Lots of Liverpool fans have been salivating over the prospect of Mohamed Salah setting yet another Anfield record.
As the Reds prepare to take on West Ham United, a victory would see the Reds match Manchester City’s record of 18 straight Premier League victories. They can also extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to 22 points ahead of the Citizens. With this in mind, there is also another achievement that a certain Egyptian could surpass.
Salah, who joined from Roma for £34m in 2017, aims to follow in Michael Owen’s footsteps. Two more goals would mean that he becomes the first player since the former Red to hit 20 in three consecutive seasons, according to the club’s official website. As a result, supporters were excited for Salah and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he reckons the 27-year-old will “smash” that figure.
