The Reds advanced to the final of the intercontinental tournament, with goals from Naby Keita and a 91st-minute winner from substitute Roberto Firmino to get Jurgen Klopp’s side over the line.

The German tactician will now lead his team on Saturday as they face Copa Libertadores champions Flamengo in a repeat of the 1981 final in Japan.

Mane caused a stir on Twitter for the right reasons after a video trended of him speaking about his Egyptian teammate.

Mane described Salah as the “Egyptian King”, and encouraged the people of Egypt to keep supporting the 27-year-old and ensured that he was fighting for his country.

Supporters were moved by the words of Mane and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan described him as “the nicest man in football”.
