Liverpool fans have praised Senegalese forward Sadio Mane after his kind-hearted words about his teammate Mohamed Salah following their 2-1 win against Monterrey in the Club World Cup.

The Reds advanced to the final of the intercontinental tournament, with goals from Naby Keita and a 91st-minute winner from substitute Roberto Firmino to get Jurgen Klopp’s side over the line.

The German tactician will now lead his team on Saturday as they face Copa Libertadores champions Flamengo in a repeat of the 1981 final in Japan.

Mane caused a stir on Twitter for the right reasons after a video trended of him speaking about his Egyptian teammate.
