Liverpool have been linked with some big names ahead of the summer transfer window, including Jadon Sancho and the highly speculated Timo Werner. However, as talks seemingly subside, fans are now broadening their horizons and discussing who they would take instead.
Indeed, Werner stated he would be a good fit for Jurgen Klopp’s system, but now the German is unsure of where his future lies (via Sky Sports).
As a result, a lot of supporters have now turned their attention to Wolves’ Raúl Jiménez, with one fan likening him to Roberto Firmino. The Mexican striker has scored 22 goals and assisted ten in 44 cross-competition appearances this season (via Transfermarkt). Indeed, his current Premier League goal tally for this campaign puts him eighth in the table of top scorers with 13 goals and six assists (via BBC Sport), as well as bagging 9 in the Europa League.

Compared to Firmino, Jimenez (who was also recently linked with Tottenham) averages more shots per game (3.4 to 3 via WhoScored), more key passes (1.4 to 1.3) and wins more aerial duels (2.2 to 2).
The 28-year-old’s clinical nature is something that Liverpool fans would love to see under Klopp, with one fan predicting he would ‘fit right in’ at the club.
