Many Liverpool fans were incensed once again with right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold during his side’s Premier League clash against Manchester City on Sunday.
The 22-year-old has been heavily criticised by segments of the Kop faithful this season following their recent slump in form in the Premier League.

Alexander-Arnold found himself beaten far too easily as Raheem Sterling got the better of him before teeing up Ilkay Gundogan for the game’s opening goal – who missed a penalty during the first period.
It is something that supporters haven’t been used to after being a key figure in the Reds’ recent success, helping Jurgen Klopp’s side win the Champions League and the Premier League in the space of 13 months.

To no-one’s surprise, fans were livid with the level of defending that they saw from the England international and did not sugarcoat their words on Twitter.
Trent Alexander-Arnold in the Kop bad books

“Trent was awful then. Simply awful”
“I defend him a lot bit that was absolutely atrocious from Trent there. He’d actually done well defensively up to that point but that was just lazy”
“Defending just poor .. Trent just Sterling go past him..”
“No defending Trent there. Absolutely woeful.”
“Shambolic from Trent yet again. Been one of our worst players in recent months. 1-0 to City.”
“Trent is an unbelievable player but getting found out more and more and teams are getting at him, is it time for Neco or somebody else to slot in there and move Trent into the middle? #LFC”
