Liverpool have got one eye on 24-year-old left-back Kostas Tsimikas as their pursuit for Jamal Lewis takes a negative turn.
James Pearce recently dealt a blow to fans following the club’s initial bid for the services of the Norwich full-back. The Premier League champions tabled a £10million offer for Lewis but it was almost immediately rejected, with the Canaries reporting they want double that figure.

Now, Liverpool are broadening their horizons as they acknowledge the left-back role is an area they are in need of strengthening. Olympiakos man Tsimikas has taken their fancy, with the Greek outfit reportedly already having received a formal offer for Jurgen Klopp and Co – according to @SporTimeGreece.
Loads of Reds fans have flocked to the news as they keep tabs on the ever-changing transfer situation. It seems a large chunk of the fanbase are on board with signing Tsimikas over Lewis and are urging the deal to go through. One supporter has tweeted that they ‘prefer this guy’, who is strong with his dribbling, tackling and key passes (via WhoScored).
Another Kopite has said ‘bad move, Norwich’ as they assume their rejection of Liverpool’s £10m offer will see them out of the equation.

Kostas Tsimikas is smart option for £10m than overpriced and overrated £20m Jamal Lewis. Dude, this Greek guy has wonderful crosses!
