Liverpool: Fans gush as club celebrates three years since Mohamed Salah signed

Today marks three years since Mohamed Salah joined the club and helped transform the Reds’ attack.

The Egyptian was snapped up in 2017 from Roma for a fee of £34m (via BBC Sport), a bargain considering what he has achieved in just three years.

Since his arrival, Salah has helped take Liverpool to their sixth Champions League title and soon to be their first Premier League title. His debut season saw him win the Golden Boot award after netting 32 goals in 36 league appearances (via Transfermarkt). He shared the same award with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and teammate Sadio Mané the following year.

The 28-year-old could be looking at a third consecutive Golden Boot this season, as he sits just three goals behind leading scorer Jamie Vardy (via BBC Sport).

Loads of Reds fans are reflecting on the terrific three seasons he has had at Anfield so far and are heaping praise on the winger. One supporter has said he has “changed the destiny of Liverpool”, which indeed shows in their rise to success in both Europe and the Premier League.

Another Kopite has tipped him to be in their “best five signings of all time”. His goal count speaks for itself, tallying a total of 91 goals in 144 appearances (via Transfermarkt).
