Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to sing the praises of star defender Virgil van Dijk after he scooped the PFA Player of the Month award.
The Dutchman has been imperious for The Reds throughout November, helping them extend their unbeaten start to the Premier League season. The club also kept two clean sheets throughout the month, as the 27-year-old was a rock at the back.
Subsequently, many Liverpool fans are now hailing van Dijk as the best defender in the world, attributing him to saving The Reds’ defence, which was questionable this time last year before he joined in January.
Furthermore, a huge number of supporters are calling for the centre-back to become captain at Anfield ahead of Jordan Henderson after a number of huge displays.
