Last night saw Liverpool’s U18s taking on Accrington Stanley in the FA Youth Cup 4th round as they aimed to do what the senior side couldn’t and mount a cup run. The young Reds won 4-0 and had the young Paul Glatzel to thank after he bagged a treble, making him the first Liverpool player to score 20 goals this season.
HAT-TRICK!!!

The Liverpool-born German international is just 17-years-old, yet he’s already a name on the lips of the Anfield faithful and they’re keen to see him shine for the senior side one day. More often than not, when a young player impresses for any club’s youth side there are players constantly calling for them to be included in the senior team, and the Reds are no different with Glatzel this time around.
Glatzel has been going about his business this season with a lethal touch, yet he’s been living in the shadow of his U18 teammate, Bobby Duncan, who signed from Manchester City over the summer. However, now it looks like the German U18 international is set to start getting some recognition for his form, and with it some ludicrous calls for him to be blooded in the senior side.

The Reds love seeing their youth sides progress and will now be keeping an eye on the impressive Glatzel after his FA Youth Cup treble.
