Many Liverpool fans have expressed zero sympathy for their title rivals’ complaints over the scheduling of Christmastime Premier League fixtures.

Manchester Evening News reported that Omar Berrada, Chief Operating Officer of Manchester City, called for the “sporting integrity” of the league to be protected after the title holders were pencilled in for two matches less than 48 hours apart during the festive period.
As noted by mancity.com, Pep Guardiola’s team travel to Wolves on Friday December 27th for a 7:45pm kick-off and are then at home to Sheffield United on Sunday December 29th with a 6pm kick-off.
Liverpool, who currently sit eight points ahead of City in the table, will travel to Leicester on Thursday December 26th for an 8pm kick-off and then visit Wolves three days later for a 4:30pm kick-off. [via liverpoolfc.com]
Just before Christmas, Jurgen Klopp’s team will be in Qatar for the Club World Cup, with the final of the tournament taking place on Saturday December 21st, as per FIFA.com.
