There continues to be a stalemate between Liverpool and Bayern Munich over the sale of Thiago Alcantara.
According to Sport Bild (relayed via @AnfieldEdition), the Reds are looking to table an offer of €20million (£17.9m) for the midfielder, but Bayern want closer to €40m (£35.9m).

However, the Bundesliga champions are eager to finalise a deal for Thiago in order to shift attention to their incomings. With the current financial climate, it seems even the German giants are relying on selling players in order to spend.
Liverpool are yet to make a signing this summer, with the midfielder their only strong link at the moment.
