Liverpool: Fans in dreamland over Trent Alexander-Arnold free-kick footage

Liverpool fans are going wild over a clip of Trent Alexander-Arnold’s free-kick against Crystal Palace on Wednesday.

The Reds breezed to a 4-0 win over the travelling Eagles after four different goal scorers made easy work of carving apart the opposition. As it currently stands, Liverpool are just one more win away from being crowned Premier League champions for their first time in their history.

On Wednesday, Alexander-Arnold opened up the scoring after 23 minutes with a stunning free-kick curled right into the top corner. The set-piece set the tone for the remainder of the game, which never looked like Palace would be able to get a foot into.

Loads of Liverpool fans are flocking to a video of the free-kick and are lauding their young prodigy. One supporter has even said ‘eat your heart out, Cristiano Ronaldo’ as the Portuguese superstar is known for his superb free-kicks. In fact, Ronaldo has scored a total of 54 free-kicks in his career so far (via Eurosport).

Another Liverpool fan has branded Alexander-Arnold’s performance as a ‘masterclass’. The 21-year-old earned a Sofascore rating of 7.4.
