After the signing of Takumi Minamino from RB Salzburg, fans jokingly suggested that he needs to live up to former left-back Alberto Moreno.
Moreno, who represented the club for five seasons, departed in the summer to join Villareal on a free transfer, which paved way for the arrival of the Japan international six months later.
Minamino will wear Moreno’s old shirt number, 18, as he awaits his debut for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Fans were discussing what the Japanese attacker needs to do to be remembered at the club in years to come.
This lads will have to do a lot of running to live up to the @Kuyt legacy of that number! https://t.co/dSj66sPaFD

Presenter of The Redmen TV Paul Machin suggested that the former Salzburg winger has a lot to do to live up to Dutch striker Dirk Kuyt, who also wore the No. 18 shirt.
Supporters were quick to correct Machin on his theory and made their feelings clear towards Moreno on social media.
