Liverpool: Fans laugh at Spurs after their social media post

Liverpool fans have been reacting to Tottenham’s social media post after they reflected on the Reds’ 4-1 defeat at Wembley in 2018.

The Kop faithful thanked the club after what was a pivotal day, which shifted the momentum of Jurgen Klopp’s side towards an upward trajectory. Indeed, the German tactician brought in Virgil van Dijk just a few months later from Southampton for £75m, and also brought in the likes of Fabinho and Alisson in order to fix the deficiencies in their squad.

He then led them to back-to-back Champions League finals, winning in Madrid against Spurs and his team are now regularly challenging for Premier League titles, 13 points clear at the top of the table this season. Supporters were thankful towards the north London side and their fans after the match which changed the direction that the club was heading in.
