Liverpool fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are looking over to the bar and rolling their eyes as our landlord shows them this viral image of the banner flown over Anfield during their match against QPR.
The banner was protesting about manager Brendan Rodgers, who has been poor this season and spent a huge amount of money and failed to deliver, well, anything.
As our regulars note over by the pool table while taking a break, it seems that the supporters know exactly who they want to come in to the club and replace Rodgers, with Rafa Benitez a popular pick – and we think that the former Reds boss will be aware of the banner and could well now have something to think about ahead of the summer.
