Liverpool: Fans mock Tammy Abraham over comments ahead of Chelsea game

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has said that the Blues are ready to take out their anger on Liverpool this Sunday following defeat in the Champions League this week.

The Liverpool Echo reported that the 21-year-old, who is currently the Premier League’s joint-top scorer with seven goals, said that Sunday’s match is “a test of character” and added: “We can take our anger out against Liverpool.

Liverpool-focused Twitter channel @AnfieldWatch subsequently shared some of Abraham’s comments to its followers.

The Chelsea striker had an eventful game against the Reds when the teams last met in the UEFA Super Cup five weeks ago.

Abraham missed the decisive spot kick in the shoot-out to ensure success for Liverpool, having earlier earned his team a disputed penalty that VAR declined to overturn, as well as missing a close-range chance for Chelsea during extra time. [via The Guardian]

These Liverpool fans on Twitter seemed rather unperturbed at Abraham over his comments ahead of Sunday’s match:
