There’s been so much excitement at Liverpool this season for the punters in the Transfer Tavern this season, with Jurgen Klopp’s side emerging as one of the most vibrant and dynamic teams in the league. 

The Reds have enjoyed a wonderful campaign, barring somewhat of a recent hiccup as the attacking trident of Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane continue to thrill the Anfield faithful no end. Still, the buck doesn’t stop at that trio of forwards.

While Mane’s absence during the African Cup of Nations was a notable one, there are indeed exciting options – not just in an attack – emerging through the youth ranks at Anfield as Klopp’s reign on Merseyside continues to grow from every possible avenue.

Boasting such a proud history in producing their own young players, it’s time to take a closer look at those burgeoning talents currently in the ranks. With that in mind, here are TWO wonderkids Kopites need to get excited about.

Ben Woodburn

Having already broken the Reds’ record as their youngest ever goalscorer, Ben Woodburn knows a thing or two about making waves in the first-team. However, do fans know just how good the young Welshman actually is?

A ridiculously talented centre-forward, he looks every inch a Klopp player, full of attacking intensity, as well as a huge amount of technical skill to boot.

Ovie Ejaria

Ovie Ejaria is another to have made a few fleeting first-team appearances during his time at Anfield thus far, though certainly looks like he could be a huge player in the future for the Reds. In many ways, the 19-year-old is comparable to Georginio Wijnaldum in the first-team, able to buzz around the centre of the park with an effortless class.

While he has a long way to go before reaching the Dutchman’s level, he could be a big player in the future.
