Loads of Liverpool fans were not impressed when they discovered that their side were linked with Benfica star Carlos Vinicius, as per reports in the Portuguese media.
Plans are well underway for the summer transfer window at Anfield at the end of the season, with manager Jurgen Klopp looking to see who they can bring in during the warmer months. O Jogo (via Sport Witness) claims the Merseyside club have a rising interest in the striker, who only moved to Benfica last summer.
Vinicius has been in scintillating form during the current campaign, which has attracted the Merseyside club’s attention. He has scored 19 goals and has conjured up 12 assists in 30 appearances, with Manchester United and Chelsea also rumoured to be interested. Despite this, some Reds supporters were not excited with the thought of Vinicius coming to Anfield and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he is a man that has “Real Madrid or Barcelona written all over his face”.
