David Ornstein has reported that a high-ranking Premier League official has commented on the current suspended season and Liverpool fans aren’t happy with the latest take.
In his recent feature for The Athletic, Ornstein reports that the next Premier League shareholders meeting is scheduled for April 3, with one official hoping that circumstances will change surrounding the recent events that have halted the season.
One club chairman has told The Athletic that they find the current situation of trying to return to action during current affairs is ’embarrassing’ and ‘wrong’.
The official commenting on the fate of the Premier League has said: “You just start [the season] again and there are very few losers.
“Liverpool, I know. But in the grand scheme of things, honestly, it really doesn’t matter. You’ve just got to start again,” they continued, before adding that the state of current events is only going to get worse.
Naturally, Liverpool fans are desperate for the league to be continued given they are on the verge of winning the title and many aren’t happy at all with the official’s comments on simply starting the league again.
One supporter has said there is a ‘clear agenda’ against Liverpool going on behind the scenes, whilst another has said they are ‘done with football’.

This doesn’t make any sense at all start a brand new season over one that has only 9 games to go, top 4 and relegation still to be sorted, as well as promotion from the Championship
