Liverpool will be looking to increase the gap at the top of the Premier League table when they welcome Newcastle United to Anfield later today.
Jurgen Klopp’s men currently sit four points in first ahead of second-placed Manchester City prior to the visit of the Magpies in a fixture vice-captain James Milner expects to be difficult.
“He’s [Rafael Benitez] obviously shown over the years that he’s very good tactically and a very good manager,” Milner told Liverpool’s official club website ahead of the game.
“He’ll set his team up and he’ll no doubt watch a lot of our games so he’ll know where he thinks our strengths and weaknesses are, so it’s down to us to be able to adapt.”
This season, £13.5m-rated (Transfermarkt) Milner has once again been used very effectively as a utility player by Klopp, putting in solid performances wherever he has been deployed.

Best one to talk about adaption
Now he only needs to play a goalkeeper and a striker to be have played in at least one position in every line on the team plan— Mensh (@avmensh) December 26, 2018
I know this may sound weird but he reminds me with one of Liverpool’s legends Kenny Dalglish
