Liverpool head into a season-defining encounter when they take on Manchester City in the Premier League at the Etihad on Thursday.
Jurgen Klopp’s men, who currently sit top of the table undefeated on 54 points, will have the chance to go 10 clear of their upcoming opponents and current champions if they can claim victory.
And looking at the form of both sides, they will certainly fancy their chances of doing so. While Liverpool have been performing exceptionally well of late, evident from recent wins against Arsenal and Manchester United, Pep Guardiola’s side have looked flaky.
Back-to-back defeats versus Leicester City and Crystal Palace, which followed a loss to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in early December, showed some chinks in their armour with full-back just one area where they have looked vulnerable, giving Liverpool reason to be optimistic.

If Liverpool will close gaps and press for possession like City do, LFC will beat Man City silly.
