It’s not very often in a Premier League fixture that one team musters up over 30 shots against their opposition, but Jurgen Klopp’s Reds did exactly that yesterday against Manchester United. The Kopites had a whopping 36 efforts to United’s six as they ran out 3-1 winners.

The shot count looks a lot like the Reds clash against Everton at Anfield from a couple of seasons back when they topped the 40-mark for efforts. It wasn’t quite that many shots for the Reds yesterday, but it was still a stat to remember for Liverpool fans in a game that they will be reminding United fans of for a long time to come after such a convincing win.
The win for Liverpool yesterday extended their unbeaten Premier League run to an impressive 17 games, whilst inflicting Jose Mourinho with his 5th defeat of the season. The result saw the Red Devils’ tally of points dropped so far rise to 25, and it’s hard to see Liverpool dropping anywhere near that figure throughout the entire season, especially if they pepper their opponent’s goal to the extent they did United’s yesterday.
