Liverpool fans have reacted to the news that their club is keen on making an offer for out-of-sorts Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembélé in the January transfer window.
According to a report by the Sun the Reds are willing to pay £85m for the former Borussia Dortmund player; a deal that would be a club-record fee for the Merseyside club, despite the recent huge investment funded by FSG.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants to capitalise on the Frenchman’s current situation at the Spanish giants after he was dropped from the squad over the weekend by Ernesto Valverde for missing training last week.
Barcelona brought the 21-year-old for a staggering £135m last summer but hasn’t been as lethal as many expected to him to be.
Liverpool fans however are a bit wary of Dembélé’s commitment and attitude, and want their club to be cautious about the situation.

He would be a good talent but wouldnt get much game time, which would waste his potential. He’d cost too much to be a backup, and we really need a backup LB and GK rn. He would be nice to have but it really isnt practical imo

He’s the new Mario Balotelli. Didn’t show up for bvb training to force a move to Barcelona, now he didn’t show to the game!
If I was up to me I wouldn’t want him near the club
