Liverpool have been involved in some big deals over the last few transfer windows with the likes of Alisson, Virgil van Dijk and Naby Keita all arriving at Anfield for huge money.
And the Reds could yet be involved in even more serious business as they look to secure a lucrative new kit deal.
With their current New Balance one set to expire at the end of the 2019/20 season, managing director Billy Hogan has confirmed the club are in talks with the American footwear manufacturing company, among others, over a new deal.
“We are in conversation with New Balance and we are in conversation with others as well,” Hogan told The Drum (via Liverpool Echo). The kit deal is an incredibly important partnership – not just for the financial support it delivers for the club but also from the distribution standpoint.”
While it remains to be seen who Liverpool sign with for the 2019/20 season and beyond, one thing for sure is that the Reds’ stock has risen rapidly under Jurgen Klopp which will only serve in their favour when it comes to negotiations.
