Bayern Munich’s pursuit of Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi has been well-documented with the 18-year-old set to reject the Blues’ latest £85,000-a-week contract offer as he holds out for a move to the Allianz Arena, according to Sky Sports.
This is a transfer saga, however, that could be about to take a very interesting twist with Liverpool reportedly ready to enter the fray.
Sport Bild journalist Christian Falk reports the Reds are keen on signing Hudson-Odoi from their Premier League rivals in a move the Stamford Bridge hierarchy will undoubtedly be warning their winger against.
With Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane all undisputed starters at Liverpool, the 2016/17 Premier League champions will argue Hudson-Odoi has more of a chance of winning a first-team spot in west London with both Pedro and Willian now in their 30s.
Based on the minutes he has been given so far this season by Maurizio Sarri, though, it would be hard to blame the England U19 international for thinking otherwise.

As much as I'd love to see Hudson-Odoi in a LFC shirt…
I am convinced it isn't going to happen, I don't think LFC will sign any first team player this January. pic.twitter.com/7tC0r8EksS
