Liverpool fans on Twitter were so excited going into their huge Premier League clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford yesterday. After the Reds overcame United at Anfield back in December they were keen to do it again to boost their position in the title race, yet a number of key players, including Mo Salah, flopped in a 0-0 draw.

It was a game that will be more remembered for the injuries that it saw than the quality of football. Both sides failed to carve out any real chances and whilst Jurgen Klopp will definitely be walking away as the more frustrated of the two managers, he has reason to start questioning his goal machine and star man Mo Salah, who has been dropping awful displays whenever up against a top side this season.
Across both the Premier League and the Champions League Mo Salah has featured in 14 games against the likes of England’s ‘top six’, Everton, Bayern Munich, PSG and Napoli, yet in those 14 games, he’s only managed to add two goals and one assist. One of those goals and the assist both came in a 5-1 rout of Arsenal, and his overall record in big games is woeful, leading a lot of the Kopites to start questioning what is wrong with their star who shone in these games last season.

The Reds will be desperate to see Klopp get into Salah and work out why he’s not shining in the big matches this season as they look to regain some form, especially with tough clashes against Watford and Everton this week.
