Usually, when you think of Anfield the first thing that comes to mind is a rocking atmosphere cheering and singing their side on during a tough European night that will no doubt go down in history, however, yesterday against Fulham couldn’t have been more different.
The atmosphere is disgraceful today. Some fans need to take a long hard look at themselves. Going to the game and being silent. Embarrassing and shameful.

The fans who watched on at home were left fuming with those who had bought tickets to see their side as the atmosphere was dire on a day that will not live long in the memory for the Reds. The three points will be all that matter and those that saw it live were lucky enough to witness goals from Mo Salah and Xherdan Shaqiri, but it seems they did little in the way of cheering their side on as the game petered out into a routine win.
The next game that The Reds have at Anfield will be the Merseyside derby in early December, although they face away trips to both Watford and PSG before that game. When they face Everton in December the atmosphere will have to improve ten-fold from what it was yesterday if they’re to preserve their incredible unbeaten run against their city rivals, although Marco Silva will be doing his best to get a famous win.

They only do it in Europe, which is pathetic. They need to look at teams like Dortmund in a friendly or Champs League the atmosphere is always always electric. No matter what game it is.

I don’t get fans singing in pubs before matches and then quiet at the match it wasn’t just the early kick off its nearly every week get the kop standing again

Agree totally about the atmosphere – but I feared it would be like that given a midday kickoff on a Sunday. It’s a wrong time to play a footy match.

The Kopites were disappointed to see their fans fail to live up to Anfield’s famous atmosphere and they’ll be desperate to see the place rocking when Everton visit for their next home game.
